Librarianship is the same as it has always been and not at all as it once was.

How we in the professional cultivate our practice, communicate, think about, and participate with colleagues has some earmarking of the standards of practice of 25 or 30 years ago.  We attend conferences, write articles, conduct research, negotiate with vendors, execute front line service, design and deliver instructional sessions, conduct tours, and collaborate with Faculty.

We are experiencing all aspects of librarianship but through technologies and social networking.  Those of us who do are the outliers.  Sometimes scorned, sometimes praised.

Let's talk about it here.
